Unreleased Duo Show
Thanks to PanicStream for originally posting this duo performance from the late Levon Helm & Rick Danko of The Band. This show (as well as various artwork) has bounced around for a while, but the performance is pure joy for fans, not to mention a rare opportunity to hear these beloved musicians in new surrounds. We’ve doctored a few of the titles the best we could (let us know if any are still out of whack). Listen to “A Letter To Tom,” below. We’ve got more Band HERE and HERE in the archives. NOTE: The D/L has the zip inside of a zip. That’s intentional. We’ll see if it helps with random deletions.

Looking forward to hearing this one! Thanks again Cap’n!
Completely cool. Thanx………..!
Two unique American voices, despite one of them being Canadian. Mindful of the weather, the strains of The Band’s version of “Atlantic City” have been streaming in my subconscious, but I bet a more appropriate song is on this tape: “The World’s Gone Mad.” Thanks for the post.
Love that cover pic of Levon on the mando! I had an ol’ bootleg of this a few years ago. Looking forward to revisiting it.
Thanks for sharing.
Yeah… years ago, the original poster had no cover art for this. But, there are a few different fan made covers floating about, including this one, so I used it for the same reason… it’s a great pic.
Thanks so much for this marvelous set. I’ve lived in Portland for many years now, so this one means a lot to me. All good wishes,
Iggy
Ah, the perfect tonic for me as I try to deal with the aftermath of shit storm Sandy here in Long Island. This set brings back memories of a gig I had back in the 80′s opening for Danko & Paul Butterfield at the old Lone Star Cafe in NYC. I’m suprised these guys never put out a duo album.
I had a lo-fi version of this labeled “Live in Eugene.” Sure nice to hear the upgrade. Thanks!
Thanks! Looking forward to this.
These two have some amazing performances together..as a duo they are truly under appreciated! Thanks Willard ..sooner or later me thinks ye shall be knighted.
O WOW! My two favorite voices together. Thank you for sharing!!!
Josh
