Not sure if you intend to make the audio downloadable or not, but until a better alternative becomes available, the audio can be extracted and delivered to your hard disc like this:

    - Go to the original YouTube link (make sure it doesn’t have “embedded” in the URL)
    - Copy the link
    - Go here: and follow the easy instructions to download the audio track to your computer, as a 192 mp3 rip. (Basically, paste the link and click).

It’s free, quick, no registration or malware, and you can grab the sound off any YouTube clip you like. The longer the clip, the longer the download takes, so have just a leetle patience!

I hadn’t, so thanks. I’d been using a different place for that kind of activity (KeepVid), but they’ve been sucking as of late and not working well at all, so many thanks for the alternative and walk through.

A pleasure! What a tight band they were. I saw them on the Clear Spot tour, the most beautiful amplified sound I ever heard in my life.

Man. This reminds us that all those incredible sounds came out of real mortal hippies and didn’t simply emerge out of some black vinyl swamp. So well rehearsed! So bearded. I saw them in NYC in 72 but I recall them wearing anything so satiny or decorative. The Captain was the only one wearing a hat on that occasion. We were right to like them then and now.

    So animated, too.

Animated is right. I don’t think I remember them leaping around quite so much live – maybe it was a TV director asking them to shake some booty action for the cameras? Anyway – quite a feat to play like that while getting on down.

I was fortunate to see this very incarnation of the Magic Band during their Euroean tour in 72, and yes they were that animated……Totally fast ‘n bulbous!
