Have you listened to these? Is it worth dl’ing?
There’s no accounting for tastes… and it’s free to try.
Yes…I know. I just wondering about the Captain’s professional opinion.
The Captain’s getting numb.
Speaking as a fan, the 2005 one is a bit too much “The Grand Old RS Expanded Rock’n'Roll Orchestra” for my taste, but it’s quite interesting to hear the big band built around the original group take on Marley & Otis &, oh yes, themselves (though Mick does screw up 19NB by taking the words seriously). 1990 is the end of the first great comeback tour and to my mind has more energy but a little less interest.
Worth downloading? Hell, yes. I bought the 1990 one before but didn’t know the 2005 one existed. Thanks, Cap’n.
No matter how many versions of Start Me Up live you have, it’s always worthwhile to hear the boys where they ought to be, in front of an audience. Agree about the expansion deficit of the 2005 stuff, but also agree that these are both worth downloading.
Thanks also, Cap’n…
