Marvin was a troubled man. Thanks.

My brother, you just made me a happy man! Thank you, Willard! Marvin and Mayfield are among my heroes, and I mean Heroes with a big capital. Gaye’s output was almost always top notch, but during this period it was simply outstanding. Apparently I’ve been under a rock and knew nothing about this 40th anniversary edition (although I shouldn’t really be surprised at all).
Thanks for sharing it with us during this time when “we’ve got to find a way to bring some understanding here today.”

Wow! Like Miles I was dumbfounded that I didn’t even know about this! I wore out at least two copies of vinyl, the title song on 45, an 8-track tape, a cassette and am on my second CD, I guess I just don’t get to the stores that matter any more. Many thanks for upping this, one of my top 3 Marvin collections: Let”s Get It On, Trouble Man and I Want You. It’s hard to choose, but THIA is MY favorite era of the man….so much music…has it really been 40 years?

A surprisingly awesome soundtrack. Okay, in truth? Not such a surprise. The man was a soul genius.
