Rare recordings from the great Sonny Terry, made during four sessions over the course of a three year period. Long time partner Brownie McGhee shows up during the second half, but most of these tracks are sessions recorded under Sonny’s name – made when he landed a contract following his appearance in Broadway’s Finian’s Rainbow. I saw Sonny Terry in New York City in the 80's with Johnny Winter,Willie Dixon,Can't remember if Brownie was there but the Fabulous Thunderbirds opened what a concert that was.Thanks for sharing these great albums !!!!
