A New Home

We had originally planned to make the move off of Google last month, with our most recent incarnation of this blog, but got lazy. Now, it seems, there’s not much choice. The problem is DMCA complaints, which we are always more than happy to abide by. We just don’t like the idea of getting our address taken away without our knowledge. So, now we’ve got our own. If any artist or label wants something removed, we’ll be happy to take care of that. If they would rather complain formally, then I’ll be happy to respond through their filings and/or paperwork myself. It would be quicker, however, to just contact me directly.

We’re still ironing out the kinks and dealing with details (we lost some of our comments again, sorry) and we’re still doctoring up a bunch of old posts (we’ve got around 650 now), but well be posting again this week. Thanks for your patience. Please spread the new address around. We’d appreciate it.

I’ve updated your link on Try To Be Amused, and also on the Digital Meltdown Blogroll where I am an administrator. I’m pleased to know that you won’t be pulling any more sudden disappearances any time soon.

You’ll want to update the link in your sidebar for D & P’s Bootleg World. They’ve moved off of Google as well.

Many, many thanks. We’ll see how this experiment in terror works out. Thanks for the updates Nazz & Don. Very appreciated. Ducky, I’ve been updating tons of old posts and keep finding your friendly comments on so many of them, thanks.

Congratulations. I’m a huge fan and am delighted that you’ll never again get nailed by the Google smart bomb.

Since all of your old posts are here, are you going to pull the plug on the NGOOTB archive site?

Ultimately, who cares what it looks like, I know; but since you asked for feedback, white backgrounds are pretty tough on the eyes.

Well done, you’re back in business again!
I’m thinking about doing a series on music blogs and yours would be next, so with a bit of luck this address will still be valid by the time I’ve cranked it out!

Thanks Doc and Fool. As for the Archive site, I’m surprised it’s still there. So, I’m curios how long it will remain, though there are no plans to currently update it (or link to it). I’ve always liked dark backgrounds, but picking templates is the curse of mankind. Sometimes you find something that looks fine, then when you start working with it, there are all these hidden issues. This one allowed me to most of the basics. But, I’m not really a fan of white backgrounds either.

    Hi, Willard,

It’s good to see that you have your own real estate now and are no longer one of Blogger’s tenants. Your new URL has been added to my blogroll of course. I might be making a similar move in the not-so-distant future, especially if my place gets shut down due to illegitimate DMCA complaints.

Hope to see you here for a long, long time.

Thanks Fiend. We’ll see how it works out. Yeah, I saw that your place had gotten a few curious complaints, too. Hopefully these issues will work themselves out without much hassle. Thanks for all your help.
