Would Become A Thing Of The Past?
Figured some oldsters might like this one. A .pdf file of the January, 1973 issue of National Lampoon, sporting what is still their greatest cover. This issue has some classic features; The Playdead Interview with Dan Blocker, the comic book Adventures of Deadman, the brilliant Gahan Wilson and tons of record company ads. The jpegs are small versions of the original (watermarked) scans.

Sorry that this is not related to the post, Captain. Have you noticed that when you create a new blog, before anyone even knows you're there, a couple of minutes later you get a visit from some little out of the way place (Felicity, Ohio this time) using the Linux OS? Blogger checking up?
Good one Cap! I have been looking for Unwanted Foreigners issue for a couple decades now. Oh yeah and The Beatles issue too!
HERE you go BF. The Oct. '77 Beatles and May '76 Foreigners issues. Again, they're watermarked, but it's only a minor nuisance.
If you don't wead this bwog, I'll kill this wabbit!
I had a subscription to Nat Lam when I was 10. I think I read Mad for about a year before graduating to the harder stuff. A lot went over my head, but loved re-reading them as I got older. Proud to say I've got every issue in my collection…
Brings back bad memories, my nickname was "wiener" for a year, 73-74 in college, from posting their ad "You may already be a wiener" on my dorm room door. Nothing like farmboy subtlety.
Is it OK to bring that nickname back?
Holy crap, dude – this is fabulous! I subscribed to NatLamp as a precocious teenager and no longer have these remnants of my misspent youth.
I don't suppose you'd have access to others (by request)? 1974 was a particularly good year…
Check the links in the lower right for complete years, 1973, 1974 & 1975.
this brings back my swarmier college days… I used to have a whole box of these but I think my exwife took them to spite me!
