For Decades, Newman’s Only Official Live LP

Randy Newman’s only live album (until 2011) is culled from three 1971 live performances, including a show recorded at The Bitter End. Live features a good cross-section of material from Randy’s first two albums, Randy Newman (1968) and 12 Songs (1970), including two compositions that were exclusive to this release, “Tickle Me” and “Maybe I’m Doing It Wrong.” For decades, Randy Newman Live was RN’s only live release. Captain, glad to find you back at it.

I hate to admit it, now, but I'd kind of forgotten about Randy Newman. Thanks for bothering, and thank you for the excellent write-ups.

(So, were you busted in some way, or did your blogging service screw up?)

Hey Captain. Thanks so much for these fine Randy Newman postings. Often overlooked, Randy is one of the true originals of rocknroll and should be enjoyed more often. Now, thanks to you, he will be – at least at my house. All the best,

Thanks Cap for turning me on to Newman here… it's all new man (haha!), at least to me. I've heard a lot of good things about him but never really dove into his music. I really like what I'm hearing… thanks again!
