    Hello W

Always check into the Wormhole – and made the click – and seeing as it’s coming from Sigma Sound – have to give it a listen – and knowing you’ve suggested it, for want of a better way to put it, more than happy to give it a listen – thanks, as always, for your time spent. Always wondered if Sigma Sound ever posted a list of what was recorded in those studios – if, apologies to Jimmy Webb, those walls could talk….. actually walked by Sigma Sound over the week-end

All the best and thanks again

    G

Cool, thanks for the comment. I’m a sucker for Beatle-esque, early 70s pop. These guys actually remind me a little more of Emitt Rhodes, sometimes Badfinger, but they’ve got some things going on… if you like this kind of stuff. The streaming player is a good indication.

Well I entered, n steered by ya comments took a chance. I like it – sounds like a George Harrison album to me. Not consistant enough but ‘Take Me Back’ n ‘Talking Out Of Turn’ are both excellent. And Thanks for the tip to reaquaint myself with PHROCK. I stopped visiting at least a year ago when he went ‘private’? but a few years back it was a daily trip. Great site. Cheers, Willard. Have a nice day. Peace.

Most obscurities are that way for a reason, they aren’t quite “there”. This deserves to be heard.

Damn, this is a good one! Pretty rare to find something this good that’s completely out of nowhere. Really appreciate the heads-up, Willard!

hi willard.. just tripped and fell down the amazing wormholes for the first time recently. your site is a continuing mesmerizing combo of invention and terrific music and great commentary. as you might expect the emitt rhodes comparison above on ‘sleepy hollow’ struck a chord with me.. emitt is to me perhaps the greatest of unsung heroes in rock.. still have this choice bit around? looked all over the web for it.. tough search string that – casts a wide net so to speak.. is a re-up possible? not a show stopper one way or the other. many other treasures to ponder. incredible site, really guy..

Another bum DF link – check back in an hour. Thanks also because I didn’t realize the Wormhole didn’t go anywhere anymore. Then the player wouldn’t start for me, so I replaced that too (and it STILL doesn’t start right away), and when I deleted my comment/link, it screwed up the order of all the other comments. This post may be cursed. Thanks again timer.

astounding how gems like this just slip thru the cracks. decided to sample a track or two to see if the streamer was the cherry-pick.. opener blew me away.. one more, and one more.. advanced thru the entire album, anticipating the next trk would be the clinker that never came. thank you so much willard for this gorgeous discovery, and your incredibly prompt reply. sorry for the trouble with the comments etc.. oops.. just got to 2:58 minute mark of ‘hades’ and all went to white noise.. i think you nailed it.. this post been hexed ! still – many many thanks and best regards. ps – album cover color scan is a work of art, well worthy of its contents. and you an artist in your own right. best..

Man, it IS jinxed. I checked my copy and it’s the same way, so it’s been like that from the beginning… and no one’s mentioned it. If I ever find a proper copy I’ll repost this up top, anew. Thanks for the help. How weird.

willard – here’s a complete track of 09 Hades from Sleepy Hollow, the one i mentioned ended after 2:34 or so in a sonic blast. trk is actually just over 6 minutes. this is a combo of your good section and an LP version that was in decent shape. i manually de-clicked it best i could. best to you as always for all your efforts.

Re: Sleepy Hollow, great article here — http://shit-fi.com/interviews/AaronMilenski — on so-called tax scam LPs, which includes Sleepy Hollow.. You have to read it to believe it. I recall seeing some of these “releases” in department store cut-out bins.

As for Sleepy Hollow it is VERY good. Worth being considered as one of the unknown gems of seventies pop. My recollection is at least one of the tracks could have been used for one of those Lennon soundalike comps.

    Willard,
Great LP! Another power pop gem I had never heard of. ER, Badfinger and John Lennon as well. Good stuff, thanks W.
