60 Min Non-Existent Prince Track

Visit Prince’s (now long gone) web site and you’ll hear a spooky, kind of mesmerizing little loop playing while the site loads. It only lasts a few minutes. That is… until now. This is a continuous, 60 minute loop of Prince’s off-hand site introduction that you can use to space out to any time you want. Wanna turn your house into a chill room. This will make it happen. Stuck in traffic and craving mind relief? This might do the trick. Need some of Prince’s magic in the bedroom? You could do worse than this (and… you’ll still have 57 minutes to spare). Since Prince’s web pages have a history of not lasting long, you never know if you’ll ever hear this nugget again. We’re calling it “Loading Site.” (@320)

As Lawrence Welk would say, "Wonnerful, wonnerful!" I'll be tripping out to this on my hour-long commute to work. This would also be nice to chill out the surly lines at my local Starbucks, but that's hoping for too much. Thanks again, Mr. W!

You're getting weird! (-er) This is good. (-er) Based on the sample, I don't think this is up to Eno's classic Thursday Afternoon, which I consider the ultimate non-music to not-listen to, but coming on top of the JB mix and the Morricone marvels, all I can say is, OK, I'll try it and I'll even give Vincent Gallo a shot.

Thanks (I think). I didn't need that hour anyway.

HA! Why not? It's not often I get a chance to post something no one else has, so what the hell, eh? Thanks for commenting.

Pants… did you mix up your words? Looks like you meant to say "Pssst me pants, Willard."

I'd follow Prince into Dubstep any day. I've enjoyed most of his sidesteps, though, I admit to rarely revisiting N.E.W.S. and Madhouse isn't really my cup of tea. Rainbow Children, however, was quite excellent and criminally underrated. His last few releases have been a bit too old school commercial to be among my faves, but even when he's less than great he's still better than most other living artists.

Interesting idea for a post. I'm listening to it now. It seems to be strangely helping with my slight hangover this morning. By the way, did you catch his performance on The Tonight Show, singing "Dreamer" – sounded like pure Hendrix. Can't wait to hear the new album(s).

HA! I don't even have a poor man's iPod, thank you very much. Besides, these days I'm only into an artist's music… all the peripheral marketing holds zero interest for me anymore. But that's just me, I guess.
