Top Notch Free-Jazz… For Free!

I’ve always like these guys because their music resides in a netherworld of Silent Way-era Miles influences and total free-form improvisation. Catasto Elettrico is an electric, keyboard based trio that manages to sound like much more by tastefully utilizing electronic effects to fatten their sound and broaden their style, as in “=,” a formless psychedelic space probe. There are free web bands… and there are free web bands… but Catasto Elettrico are in a quality class by themselves and are always worth your download time. You can visit Catasto Elettrico’s blog and grab 7 previous downloads, Trio, Modo, Master, Ode, Gas, Micro and Radio. Listen to “<,” below. (@320)

This is very nice. It reminds me of The Necks. It is both simple and complex, tense and resolved. The opening of the first track uses the same scale as Led Zeppelin's The Ocean.

The music pulls me in and doesn't let go.

MMMMM… Very nice, this is why I love coming to 'Das Boot' not for what I know and like, but to broaden the palate.
    Many thanks
