Still an album with a huge impact. I’m with the allmusic review: Never Mind the Bollocks is simply one of the greatest, most inspiring rock records of all time. I still get an amazing thrill from some of these songs, including the over overlooked “Did You No Wrong.” Thank you, sir!

“Did You Know Wrong” has been hard to find for some time. This and the first Cheap Trick came into my life at about the same time. What happened to Rock N Roll?

In this case, Anonymous is me.

Also available are the outstanding original four-track demos produced by Dave Goodman, much better than the overcooked overdubbed album Bollocks produced by Chris Thomas. The demos were “released” as the vinyl bootleg “Spunk” in 1977 just before the release of “Bollocks” and far outsold it; “Spunk” was later “re-released” as the expanded vinyl bootlegs “No Future, UK?” and “Indecent Exposure”. For the fanatics, the CD bootleg “Party Till You Puke” contains outtakes from the Chris Thomas overdub/re-recording sessions.

    Cheers, Dave Sez.

Hardly any album has ever opened with a kick in the nuts like “Holidays in the Sun”. Thx Cap’n!

Sitting on my HD, I have 7 files of Pistols demos, outtakes and alternates purporting to be ‘The Complete Sex Pistols Sessions 1976 to 1977’.
Where I got them from and why they show up as 7 files and not discs, I have no idea. The files seem to cover one session each. No details apart from dates and song titles.
There’s 44 tracks in all and they’re encoded at 128KBS, but if it’s OK, I could upload them and post the links.
    Any interest?

Thanks Steve, but let’s not. Some of “The Complete” files are already on these Deluxe editions (from the master tapes, at 320). I’m planning another Pistols post in the near future anyway. But, I’d really like to get away from 128 postings.

Fair enough, W. I noticed that everything you posted was in the files, so there are plenty of dupes.
Do you know if the ‘Complete’ files really are complete?

That I don’t know. I guess it might depend on when that set was first put together… whether it’s older or newer.

Just had a look at the file info via Winamp. They’re a mixture of Chris Spedding, Dave Goodman and Chris Thomas sessions.

I meant when the bootleg compilers put it together. Because sessions were being unearth all the time (until recently).

This is an interesting site. A quick check appears to show that the recordings I have are complete. The date they arrived on my HD was sometime in mid 2011.

Actually, I’ve seen the same title posted as early as 08, though I don’t know if it was updated since then.

Most of this stuff (but not all, damn it) appears on SEXBOX1. $70 at Amazon for used. I know the swindle continues, as they say, but Never Mind the Bollocks is still my all time favorite album. We’re the flowers in the dustbin.
