Two Things…

Actually, a Third Thing…
B, who was kind enough to supply us with tons of Zevon Bonus Tracks (coming next week), is on the lookout for two bootleg Zevon rarities, if anyone happens to have them and can pass them along. It would be much appreciated (as it’s always nice to return favors). Let us know.
“Up On The Cross”
“I’m A Shadow Of Him”

Thanks to 3410 and The Artíste for filling the gaps in our Zevon Bonus Tracks collection supplied by B. We’ll get a Zevon comp up next week.
From Transverse City
“Networking” (Acoustic Demo Version)”
From Sentimental Hygiene
“Leave My Monkey Alone (Spanish)”
“Nocturne (Instrumental)”

DEAD LINKS MediaFire links are virtually useless and there are a lot of them here. I’ve been replacing them for months, but I find more every day. So… if you stumble on one (or a dozen), and there’s no other working link to access the file, just leave a comment saying it’s dead and I’ll get to it pronto. Thanks for the help.

Hey Willard, sorry to bother you. I see that you got the missing bonus tracks that we talked about extremely quickly. So, if you don’t mind, would it be possible when you have the time to post a request for the two bootleg tracks “Up On The Cross” and “I’m A Shadow Of Him”? I’ve read about these but have never seen them on the net. Thanks so much for everything.

Those Zevon rarities, Up on the Cross and I’m A Shadow of Him, are Sentimental Hygiene demos, sometimes performed live. I can’t find the studio versions. Interestingly, they are as likely to be considered REM or Hindu Love Gods demos, as opposed to Warren Zevon demos. Which makes sense. Just can’t find ’em. Anyway, I am looking forward to this post, W. You’ve really re-booted my interest in Mr. Zevon. By the way, Zevon’s bio, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, is great.

Thanks so much for posting the request Willard, and thanks for the great info Visions. I had read that they were Sentimental Hygiene Demos, but then alternatively heard they were from the Life’ll Kill Ya sessions, which made sense to me given how spiritual that album appears to be. I have over 100 Zevon concerts, saw him live 8 times, and never heard those tracks once! It drives me crazy that I have EVERYTHING else he’s ever done except those 2!
