PAUL McCARTNEY Unplugged-The Rehearsal (1991)

Unplugged-The Rehearsal (1991)
Outstanding Acoustic Rehearsals

A last blast of bootleg McCartney to end the week. One of my favorite PM albums is Unplugged: The Official Bootleg, recorded for MTV in 1991. If you haven’t heard it yet, and if you like McCartney, it’s a must-have you can grab here. The Rehearsal, featuring all unreleased material, is a looser and goofier set of outtakes (e.g. “Blue Moon Of Leningrad”), sporting some great renditions of Beatles chestnuts, making for a perfect companion to the original album. Since ’91, McCartney has broadened his live palate when it comes to covering The Beatles and altering his approach to his past, but Unplugged was a bit of a revelation at the time and stands up better than many of his 80s/90s albums. A quick note about the files… I’ve had this music for years, but the endings of all the tunes were naggingly clipped. Reggie, at Music My Owner Listens To, was kind enough to send us these files, which are still clipped, but segue much cleaner, making for a much better listen (thanks Reg).
